CBU is so very trustworthy. They emailed me a couple weeks ago and said that my account would be cancelled by July 9. It's almost midnight, and both my email and sheba accounts are still active. Really, that's only the one account, but it still requires an action on their part. And they are lazy.
I meant to write about this Wednesday night, but I've really been procrastinating. As most of you who read this (Lee, maybe Amy has stumbled on it, anyone else?) know, I was in Memphis over the Fourth of July weekend. Driving back to Tullahoma on Wednesday, I was on I-40 almost to Nashville, when traffic stopped. Completely. I-40 was a parking lot. I could barely pick up the Nashville radio stations, and I heard that a tractor-trailer had overturned and the interstate would be closed for an hour and a half (fatalities). Wonderful. I had just crossed the Tennessee River and traffic was apparently backed up at least 10 miles. I was close to a gravelled, emergency vehicles only break in the median, so I eased up the shoulder, returned about 3 miles to a rest stop, found a map, and plotted a back-road trip from where I was to Tullahoma, through every little town in middle Tennessee. My four and a half hour trip took 6+. I would have done about as well waiting for the wreck to clear, but then I would have had traffic to enjoy.
Oh, I missed the entire series (thus far) while it aired, but The Unit is my new favorite show, except for Venture Bros, BSG, and a couple others. Army Special Forces, their wives and girlfriends, lots of guns and explosions. I watched Season 1 this weekend, all 13 episodes. I also watched what I'd missed of NCIS, which included an episode where Michael Weatherly said something along the lines of "I don't have a chance with Jessica Alba." He is / was engaged to Jessica Alba. Know the competition.
I haven't done a single thing for my classes (except show up) in more than 2 weeks, and I'm not at all behind in them. More tomorrow.
